Don’t assume just because it is gluten-free, it is healthy, It’s not. Make sure to read the ingredient list. You want to make sure you are still eating real food. Potato starch, corn starch and tapioca starch don’t count and studies have not shown if they are healthy as a substitute. Look for quinoa, buckwheat, brown rice and millet flours.
Bring on the D: Eat more wild Salmon, Sardines, Catfish, Tuna, Cod Liver Oil, Eggs, Mackerel, Shitake and Button mushrooms. Soak up more sun and take a Vitamin D supplement. It protects your bones, teeth and hair, reduces inflammation and regulates cellular growth and healthy cell activity.
No Screen Time At Night: Put down the electronics before sleep. Screen time interrupts with your body’s natural ability to induce sleep. The light signals to stay alert and even if you do fall in a somber, the quality is absolutely compromised.
Swear off Sugar: Weight gain, weight management, fatigue, depression, mood swings, lack of excitement can all be caused by sugar. Change the way you think about food.
