OK, I am not a smoothie girl at all. I like to eat, but I am completely obsessed with this high energy, protein shake. Lately this is my antioxidant-infused breakfast. I am full, I mean totally satiated until lunch and that is a wow for me! Filled with detox-supportive fiber, chia seeds, provide the best plant source of those fabulous Omega-3s that protect your heart, brain, skin, joint health and are known for aid in weight loss. They also contains protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, niacin, and zinc. I drink it and can’t wait until tomorrow to do it again.
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, hemp milk or water, or a 50/50 combination
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 2 Tbs. chia seeds
- 1/2 frozen Acai smoothie packet, or 2 Tbs. powder Acai
- 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3-4 ice cubes
- honey for sweetness or liquid stevia (optional)
Add the almond milk and/or water to the blender first, then the other ingredients. Blend until smooth.
