Now there are a ton of green smoothie recipes out there. Why? They are the best way to start your day—vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phyto-nutrients, protein, curb sugar cravings, help fight fatigue, strengthen immune systems, fight stress … I mean the list goes on, seriously. Here’s my all time favorite.
- 5 stems parsley or cilantro
- 1/2 bunch spinach
- 5 kale stalks
- peeled lemon
- frozen banana or a handful of your favourite fruit. I love frozen mangoes and pineapple
- Thumb size fresh peeled ginger
- 2 cups water or coconut water
- 1/4 cucumber
- 1 celery stalk
Blend until smooth.
Drink and enjoy. Save rest in glass containers for 2 days. Do this for 2 days and I promise you will become an addict.
